Established over 25 years ago, Vitex Construction has remained a family-owned business. We began as a general building company that concentrated on small projects such as kitchen and bathroom refits, carpentry, minor construction works and general property maintenance.

Apart from a few advertisements in local papers and the distribution of some promotional leaflets early on, we have never advertised our services, relying mainly on word-of-mouth recommendation.

Over time, we broadened our range of services to the point where, today, we can deal with any and all aspects of residential property construction, from refurbishment and renovation, through to extensions and entire new builds, both for private individuals and also for property developers. Beyond that, we have gradually increased our reach to the point where we now operate as builders in London and all the home counties, including Berkshire where we are based, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. As we became more established, we realised that there were many advantages to providing a ‘one-stop shop’, a complete ‘end-to-end’ service, covering the initial design phase, through to obtaining planning permission and building regulations approval, and on to the actual construction work itself. For more than 22 years now we have been able to offer a comprehensive ‘Design and Build’ service which has helped to streamline building projects and substantially reduce the time taken between the start and finish of any design and build project.

We believe the key to our success is two-fold. First, the quality of our work and service provided. This has been achieved by creating a team of highly skilled ‘craftsmen’ with a combined total of over 100 years of experience in the construction industry. Beyond this, over time we have established an extensive network of exceptional contacts, from designers and architects through to plumbers and electricians, who recognise and work to the same high standards as we do.

The second key element to our success has been the personal service and hands-on approach we take to each and every project. We have always felt that it is important for you to be able to speak to anyone at Vitex Construction, regardless of their position. It also means that we are better able to ensure that the standards upon which the business has been built are rigorously maintained.

Finally, and for your added reassurance and peace of mind, we have insurance indemnity up to a maximum limit of £5 million. Beyond this, much of the construction work we carry out comes with a ten-year guarantee.
